Role Overview
As a Junior People Partner, you’ll play a key role in supporting the People & Culture team across a variety of administrative and operational HR activities. Reporting into the Head of People & Culture and working closely with the People & Talent Partners, you’ll help deliver a seamless employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to payroll, HR administration, and employee engagement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their HR career who is organised, detail-oriented, and commercially minded. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have the opportunity to grow and develop within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including reviewing CVs, scheduling interviews, and maintaining accurate records in the applicant tracking system.
- Manage pre-employment checks, right-to-work documentation, and reference processes.
- Own the onboarding process—from preparing offer letters and contracts to system setup and supporting induction sessions.
HR Administration
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
- Provide administrative support to the People Partners and wider HR team.
Payroll Support
- Assist in collating and verifying payroll data to ensure accurate and timely monthly submissions.
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring all procedures align with company policies.
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and confidential data in the HRIS, ensuring data integrity at all times.
- Produce and analyse HR metrics and reports to identify trends and support business decisions.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Support policy implementation and assist with grievance and disciplinary procedures.
- Help drive engagement initiatives, including employee surveys and follow-up action plans.
Benefits Administration
- Respond to employee benefit queries and maintain up-to-date records of entitlements.
General HR Support
- Contribute to ad hoc HR projects and provide general administrative support as required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines people passion with commercial awareness—someone who can balance business needs with employee wellbeing in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in an entry-level HR or People role.
- Basic understanding of UK employment law.
- Commercial awareness with a pragmatic approach to HR solutions.
- Highly organised and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical capability.
- Confident using MS Office (especially Excel) and HRIS systems.
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
