The Role
The Assistant Merchandiser (AM) is responsible for helping efficiently run the department and ensuring that all reporting is updated accurately. You will oversee the intake process from order raising to delivery, working closely with the production, operations, e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure launches and priorities are on time.
You will also be involved in updating weekly trade reporting and assisting the merchandisers with analysis for both weekly trade and seasonal lessons learnt. As the AM, you will be responsible for forecasting line cards, placing newness rebuys and sizing all orders and will also be responsible for uploading pricing and any amendments. This role is excel heavy, so would expect the AM to be at intermediate to advanced level.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Working with the MAA, ensuring critical paths are updated daily and checked -adding new POs, removing delivered and amending changes
- Create costing sheets for the production team for new signed off collections
- Size ratio orders – newness & rebuy. Alongside the MAA, raise all POs on PVX
- Send all buysheets to suppliers and record these on internal trackers
- Set up reporting sheets for the Merchandisers- adding in returns and data dumps accurately
- Send priority intake weekly to production and flag in the CPs
- Upload all products onto Shopify [Including converting prices and sizes to 7 stores] – making commercial decisions.
- Checks/Data validation of attributes, e.g. colour name to colour family, category to sub-cat, supplier to COO, weights
- Product system: ensure workflow is correct for PO raised, raised on shopify and amends reflected
- Actualising and updating linecards and support in forecasting and proposing rebuys
- Creating and updating trade sheets
- Actualising WSSI
- Support in analysis for trade with a focus on actions
- Ensuring trade actions are completed in a timely manner and review performance
- Pre-order – analysing stock and cover by size to ensure correct sizes are on pre-order for the correct dates.
- Sending back in stock product to marketing and ecommerce teams
More about you
- At least 2 years experience in Merchandising, ideally Assistant Merchandiser level
- Experience within e-commerce/fashion retailer preferable
- Strong excel skills: including vlookups, sumifs & pivots
- Exceptionally organised and accurate
- Positive & Self-motivated
