The Role
This position can be based at our headquarters in Manchester, UK or Dubai, UAE.
We are looking for an experienced Lead Retoucher to join the creative team at Club L London, supporting both high-volume e-commerce imagery and creative campaign and content assets.
This role requires a highly skilled retoucher with an expert eye for detail, colour accuracy, and garment integrity, with particular attention to skin tones, light fabrics, and texture preservation. You will play a key role in ensuring imagery meets brand standards while maintaining speed, consistency, and exceptional quality across large volumes of content.
Alongside e-commerce retouching, you will contribute to campaign and creative imagery, supporting visual storytelling through advanced grading, compositing, and creative experimentation.
As Lead Retoucher, you will also play an important role in supporting and developing the wider retouch team, helping to mentor junior team members, elevate quality standards, and contribute to the overall growth and development of the department. The role will also support the integration of new technologies, including AI-assisted tools and workflow innovations, helping to improve efficiency while maintaining the brand’s premium visual standards.

Creative & Campaign Work
Support creative and campaign retouching, including advanced compositing and image extensions.

Extend backgrounds, build scenes, and enhance imagery where required.
Add creative grading and visual polish while remaining aligned with the brand aesthetic.
Contribute creative ideas and experimental approaches when developing campaign imagery.
Workflow, Image Intake & Organisation
Manage the intake of imagery from photoshoots, ensuring files are received, checked, and integrated smoothly into the retouching workflow.
Oversee the movement of images from shoot delivery into the main production funnel, ensuring efficient processing and prioritisation.
Manage and maintain organised file structures and image libraries, ensuring assets are clearly labelled, stored, and archived.
Handle imagery post-shoot, including ingesting files, organising assets, and preparing images for retouching.
Ensure accurate filing and delivery of all retouched images across e-commerce, marketing, and campaign outputs.
Oversee quality control checks to ensure all imagery meets brand standards before release.
Innovation & AI Integration
Support the integration of AI and emerging retouching technologies to enhance workflow efficiency and production scalability.
Identify opportunities to improve retouching processes through automation, AI-assisted tools, and new techniques.
Help the team adopt innovative approaches to image production while maintaining the brand’s visual quality standards.
Team Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with photographers, stylists, producers, and the wider creative team to maintain visual consistency.
Provide input into team workflow, processes, and creative direction.
